remember this...

Yesterday, they were running a marathon for the 70's version of Land of the Lost. I was amazed at the how cheesy it was. Could not believe that it was so dumb looking? Matt and I were laughing at it. But Arden loved it. I have to admit that it is entertaining.
My dad gave me the day off yesterday so I was super excited...was not expecting it at all. Arden has been really clumsy. Yesterday she fell while we were walking to Rembrandts for breakfast and then today she fell into a chest in our office. She is going to have a big nasty bruise on her cheek. Love this pic of her. looks so mischevious.

complete mush ball

That was me on vacation. I kept wanting to post but was so sentimental I couldn't. I just kept laying on the couch and holding sweet girl and watching whatever movie for the millionth time and thinking about how lucky i was. I get to lay there and have her hugged up to me and feel baby boy just kicking away. It was precious to me. I do have such a loving kid. No kidding. She will ask to hold my hand in the car when I am in the front passenger seat--just because. You can tell she is so content just holding the hand. Or she will come get in my lap and lay her head on me for no reason and stroke my arm. She will say things like -Mom, I really love you- or -Mom, you are my best friend. I can't imagine how sad I will be when she says things like "you don't understand anything, mom, you are so out of it". or heaven forbid worse. I will be trying with every ounce of my being to remember these times. I am just telling you I will be trying to recount how she would tell me thank you for something as small as blow drying her hair or putting on her sun screen. I am telling you--I can't imagine how God could let his son die even if he knew it would save all of us. He would let his son walk this earth with no food, no one who really understood him, and no place to lay his head some times. I could not see my baby going through that. I would have to fix it. I was thinking about that all day Sunday. I was thinking I wonder if God loved Jesus in a little kid way like I love my girl. Like just love to kiss her head dot and rub her little hair while she sleeps and love her little girl smell. I am just a complete sap so that's all i got. What can I say--I am blessed.

Seafood + baby boy = immediate nauseous tummy

I have been thinking all week about how Florida would be the best place to try seafood this pregnancy. I typically like and eat it more ofetn but have been nervous since the thought of it did not seem right and often whatever I have in my mind about the food is right. For example-I love love love Mexican for about the last month. I could eat it everyday and it is not giving me heartburn. I remember I could not eat it while breastfeeding Arden and could hardly eat it preg with Arden so I am enjoying myself. However, seafood is a diff. story. We went to Captain Anderson's tonight, which is not only expensive but supposed to be one of the best seafood spots in Panama City. I ate my salad but 2 bites into my fish and I felt my stomach turning upside down. I haven't felt this way since first trimester and I hated remembering the feeling. I tried to eat my baked potatoe but that was not going to work.I had to box my food and start chewing gum immediately. It always helps me. I don't know why. I am still a little sick feeling even though we are back to condo on couch. I even threw away the boxed food just because I didn't want to smell it. Looks like our baby boy is going to take after his dad about seafood. Matt hates seafood.
We had another great day at the beach. I also had to include a bathing suit picture of me just to prove Laura wrong. (sorry Laura, but you were saying maybe I would not have so many belly pics with skin showing this time). Well something about being pregnant makes me more confident (much more) than when I am not. It is like I have excuse for the things that I don't like about my less than pefect body. So here it is.
playing in the arcade at the restaurant

here it is. Wearing Chelsea's too big VS bathing suit. I wore it last preg too. It is very stretchy

this was last time but I am hoping I can be this size by the end and not much bigger like it seems that I will be.

Beach day 2--don't hate me.

So today was much easier than yesterday. We didn't get up at the crack of dawn to drive and got to really relax today. We knew that Arden does not really like the beach so kept her in for a little while this morning eating donuts and watching cartoons. You can see why i am not complaining about this plan. Anyway, beach and pool this morning. 2 hour nap for the girl and daddy while I walked to outlets for some exercise and to get a new book. I happened to run in motherhood store and the girl was due 10 days before me so she was so fun to talk to. I bought some stuff she suggested and she was so sweet. Didn't really realize that I am 5 1/2 months preg. till today. ha! so awesome. The girl was preg with her first baby so she had a chart that tells you. I was super surprised. I have really thought the belly was getting big but it I am this far along then all is good. Bring on the belly. So here are some fun pictures from today. We went for steaks tonight and Arden fell asleep on way home.

at the nice Condo

So we left Wednesday night at 2am. I was exhausted because I did not get in bed before 1 am because I wanted a semi-clean house when i get home. I cleaned tub and shower and toilets and then passed out. I was able to sleep for about 4 hours in car until Arden woke up saying she needed to go potty. We were all up from 6:15 till 9:30 when we got here. We ran through McDonalds because Arden could already see the beach and was asking to go to it. The condo is awesome!!! So nice and close to everything. I thought Matt would sleep because he had driven all night but he went to beach with us. They played in sand for just about 30 min and then Arden was saying she wanted to clean off. She would not get in the ocean and it was cold. So we went back to the pool and she swam forever. The sun does not hit the pool till about noon so we refered to it as the cold pool. Arden loves the cold pool but mom is trying to keep her in this morning so i don't have to be in the cold pool for so long with no sun. I mean, I need to get a little tan while here too. We all went in for a nap about 1pm and Arden and Matt slept till 6. We were starved and had not been to grocery so we went strait to dinner but had a wait. Margaritaville is 2 min away from out hotel. Only time I wish i wasn't pregnant. A margarita sounded good. Matt ordered a cheeseburger in paradise for me. It was so good but I was so full!!! I thought we would walk around after dinner but Arden was so tired. She was saying --can we please go to our room. Please!! I didn't realize how late it was--it was 8:30pm (9:30 Chattanooga time). We stopped by target so we would have some lunch food today. Slept great last night and hoping that we can stall Arden from the cold pool for a little while. She already has her inter-tube over over her pajamas.

busy busy busy....

full maternity girl now

I am hoping a picture is worth a thousand words because I am only going to get a couple lines of type. Matt, me, & Arden are leaving for Florida tonight. I had a great mother's day at Whitestone B&B (where I got married) with my grandma, mom, sis and Arden. Arden has ran a fever for 2 days after that and we went to sick clinic. She is fine and it is gone. I got a haircut. Arden got bangs cut. Chelsea got bangs cut. I caught up tons of work and got some done early. I still have to pack before we leave at midnight. Arden is napping now. I am also busy growing a big belly for everyone to see. that is it and I hope to have time to blog in florida.

looking for blessings...

I had to share this..just too sweet. I have been a pretty strung out person this week. Just plowing through my work and Matt out of town and lots of other things. Tired Momma at night. Anyway-I prayed on Wednesday morning that God would help me not to be so irratable and to look for the good things instead of feeling like everything was hard. It amazes me how God is listening and he is not slow to answer our prayers. It was typical crazy morning getting ready for work trying to get a load of laundry done and dirty dishes finished and Arden to eat her cereal. She even wanted a bath because she had a new dora toy for bath and said she was sweaty. So all the lifting and everything I was thinking I wouldn't even have time for a shower.
Well, as I was drying her hair and she looks at me so serious and says "Mom...I love you". You know you never expect that as a mom. It isn't so often that people say--thanks for always making sure laundry is done, or bottom is wiped, or anything else you can think of. It was just the sweetest thing. I have to store that away for when I am frazzled with a new baby and she is crying because Daddy won't let her watch another episode of Dora.
