Moving and More

So-we are still moving. I am having a girls night for Laura & Haylee's b'days at the house on Friday and I hope they get the new unit in upstairs before then. I am crossing my fingers. We have one of those home warranties and our old old old unit for the upstairs of the house went out. We get a new one so HOORAY! Now if the old downstairs unit will just break before the end of next month we will really our moneys worth. Matt is gone till Thurs. so me and Tiny will get as much done as we can on getting boxes undone. I have not been able to wake up at my regular time (5:30am) so I have not been my usual productive self. I will try again tomorrow. My little cousin stays with us 2 days a week (Baylie). She always watches "Charmed" every morning at 8am while she eats cereal. It has become my new guilty pleasure. I love sitting in the bed after I have showered and drinking coffee and watching Charmed. Arden doesn't mind it either. She just drinks her "Strawby GOO" and watches it with me.

Potty Training...

So,Potty training sucks! This morning Arden did do a pee-pee in the potty--just a couple drops. So she got a sucker but when mom handed it to her she said "Oh No, Grammy it's brown". We never knew she knew that color. Who taught her brown? Anyway we proceeded to tell her that the flavor was "chocolate" It was hilarious when she tried to say that. Then she told us " I want another one" because she didn't like chocolate. I told her this was not something where she got to complain-she could take choc. and be happy. We don't want to start letting every little thing be "up for discussion". Ya know? So, for the rest of the day when I ask her if she wants to try to potty she yells no. Maybe bribbery isn't working so well and I should try another method. I thought about putting her in big girl panties and after a couple times of getting wet she would get the idea. I am going to try those cool sensation pull ups first. I wonder if she will even notice them. We will soon see.

Arden is 2!!!!

Hi! We are new to blogspot. Our baby page expires this month www.ourbabynews.com/ardenelise. So, we decided to get something more family friendly. Arden turned 2 this weekend. It was so fun. We had a very small party since the 1 yr. party was so out of control. We had it downtown near the new house at the carousel. The kids also got to play in the fountain outside. I thought it was going to be airconditioned but it was only a big commercial fan---it was hot! Arden loved riding the "Gooose" which was really an ostrich. I had been at 6 flags the day before her bday with my brothers and sisters. We had a blast but I had nothing ready for the party. Surprised huh? I am so last minute. Matt was at Walmart Sat. morning buying Arden's beta fish. I don't have pics of him yet but Arden named him "Dori". I had to make Matt run to the Wallgreens to get forks when I got to the party and realized that I had not picked any up. I can't believe I forgot that one. Anyway, Arden got too many presents but she likes all of them.

We are trying again to potty train. She likes to "try". Yesterday she did 2 pee-pees. We will get it. I have been thinking about trying that 48 hour bootcamp potty training that was on the today show. Anyhow have opinions about it?

Florida

We just got back from Vacation about 1 week ago. It was the best vacation that we have been on so far with Arden. So relaxing! We just woke up late and ate b'fast. Then we would hang out at the pool till Arden was sleepy enough to have a nap. It was great. Matt and I had our own little carriage house so we also had a little privacy at night with just our family.
It has been so hard to get back to work after a week like that. We rode bikes every night and just enjoyed talking and staying up late. Getting back to work and working out and all the regulars has been hard.
