Wedding, Deck, & Time out

I have been bad about posting. Then a bunch of things happen and I feel overwhelmed to recap them all. So last weekend we went to my friend, Kristen's wedding, in Nashville. Man was it hot outside Saturday night but we had a great time. It really want an honor to be invited since it was a pretty intimate wedding at her parents house. Kristen was the most beautiful bride I have EVER seen. I am telling you--the whole wedding party looked like barbie and kens. I was just thankful that i was not up there-I would have had to wear a bag over my head. It was gorgeous!!!! Arden had a blast too. She was the most excited about getting to dance. We went to Loveless Cafe for father's day for the famous southern breakfast--it has been on food network. We had a great weekend!

this is what she looked like after the wedding and all her dancing and sweating.

We are also building a deck on our house in the back. Our lot and the city are both very tricky so it is hard to get it all squared away. We are working on it now. Getting a permit with the city was just a nightmare. I can't even begine the story. We did get one though. Thank you to everyone that prayed for us. It was such a stress for me. I was so frustrated and I am just glad it is over. The City holds all the power and they make the final decisions on anyone that lives in North Chatt. They will pull your house deed all the way back to the 20's when it was built and make you make it right. scary.

Also, the girl got time out on Tues. Her teacher told me that she would just walk up and take a toy from the other kids when they were playing with it. I was so upset about it because I didn't want to have time out kid. The teacher explained that Arden didn't really understand--she wasn't mean at all--and always sorry after it happened. She said it was as if she didn't understand that you just don't walk up and take things away. Proof that she has no siblings. We have been talking about it tons and how we should act kind to our friends. She seems to understand but we will see after school today. I told her if she got time out at school then she was getting a spanking when we got home. Welcome to the world of parenting.

Now just for your enjoyment I thought I would post a picture of Kristen and I (both preggies) on 80's night. We decided to have our picture taken by the food table. Seemed appropriate.

MEATBALL!!

So I have a new nickname "Meatball" . Don't really take offense to it even though I know some people would. It can be said to refer to me or the boy in my belly. Chelsea started saying I looked like a meatball on stilts and then it got shortened. I am feeling like a meatball but still feeling good. I went to the doc Tuesday and he checked cervical length and all that to make sure that exercising to my normal degree is still okay.I have been having round ligament pain and some tightness when I walk or even belly dance. The doc was concerned that this might have been what caused me to go early last time( since we can't think of other reasons). He confirmed that it isn't affecting anything and I can exercise as normal. He just wanted to make sure. SO relieved. Don't want to have to stop excerising this early---may feel like it later but not now.
We went to fireworks last weekend at the park. We did not want to go to riverbend so we just walked from our house about 930pm to meet some friends at coolidge park. It was so awesome. The fireworks were right above us. We were scared that Arden would cry but she LOVED them. She was trying to catch then. She is still talking about them this week and how she wants to go to them again. We also painted Brudder's wall in her room and hung the "B" over his bed. This really excited Arden and she is getting anxious about all the plans she has for teaching brudder things. When I picked her up at school on Tues she asked me if the doctor had helped me to get brudder out--because I had a doc's appt that day. I told her not yet. She knows that we will have to see the doc at the hospital to help with brother coming out so she is already asking about that. She is so sweet about him. Hugs and kisses my belly and talks to him. Just what you hope your little girl would say about a new addition. It is really so sweet.
Getting excited about the boy myself. Can feel myself getting more excited all the time. Amy J. gave me a ton of boy clothes at church last night and when I saw that baby camo jacket I could just imagine him with his daddy in that. It was the cutest stuff. tons of Tn. football stuff. Getting pretty excited now. Can't wait to be family of 4. Can wait to breast feed and go without a shower. :)

A girlie. A squirlie. Go to disney worlie

I always sing that to Arden because any word than ends in the "irl" sound she turns into "irlie". She always calls her friends Girlies. It is funny. She is doing great with her school. I can tell that she loves it. She is so proud of herself too. She has also started being sweet about her brother. she loves to talk to my belly which is really cute. She will tell brother to stay in there and eat his cereal and rest in mommy's belly. Her daddy is busy planning her 3rd birthday for next month. He is going so overboard but it is fun to see him enjoy it so much. They have both been talking about her "wonka" birthday for months--just be warned if you kids comes--too much sugar--they could puke.
I am feeling good in the pregnancy right now. I have no complaints except that I have had some problems going back to sleep after my regular 4am bathroom trip. I don't know why (yes, boy is up kicking) but I can't turn my mind off thinking. I will be 25 weeks on Monday. don't really know what that makes me. I am feeling good though. Sometimes I am more tired from everyday activities if Arden and I have been running around town. If you know me at all you will know it makes me so mad when I get tired but I think that is a normal pregnancy thing. Chels is home for summer so I am so enjoying spending time with her around.

I may venture out to coolidge with some friends this weekend so that Arden can see fireworks. I don't want to be at riverbend but we were going to walk down to the park with the stroller just to watch the fireworks. We can hear the music at our house everynight so that is just crazy.
For those of you who don't know Matt and I are building onto our deck and adding a screen porch. I took that in place of a big decked out nursery and said baby boy can sleep in Arden's room. Am I a bad mom? Porch swing outweighs nursery decor any day. I will just have to do cheap and cute. We have decided on a name for "baby brudder". It is going to be Brock Matthew Beach. His Daddy has always liked that name--insists that it is a "man's name" and that it is not for sissies. Ha. I like it. You know I just am indifferent to boys names anyhow and I like Brock just fine. Makes me think that should be the Brawny paper towel man's name and i think he is hot so that sounds good. HA.
Have a great weekend.

First day of preschool...check

We made it through. When i picked up Arden yesterday she was playing on the playground and said "look at my school momma, where I live today". They said she had no problems and acted like she was completely comfortable with all those kids. There are 11 in her class and 2 teachers. I was 10 min. early to pick her up.. as you can imagine. She got in the car and said "mom, I am such a big girlie, now!" She didn't tell me much about the day--she was just in a busy mood. She did say she really liked playing with the "purple girlie". She doesn't remember names and will call people by the color of their shirt. She did tell us they went outside twice and I noticed that she ate 3/4 of her pb and j that I had packed. Hooray. I was worried she would starve. Not looking like that will happen anytime soon. She goes back tomorrow and this time I think i will be fine. Whew! It was just a big milestone day.
Today she is back to the shop with her french braids and coloring pictures. Just wanted everyone to know that she loved it.

1st day of preschool

As most of you know we decided to start Arden in preschool in June because didn't want to ship her off in September when she is just getting a brother. too much transition. I had her lunch packed in her new Madagascar lunchbox. She had her bath last night. I have been trying to mentally prepare. As we pulled into the parking lot this morning she got anxious and said I think I want to go home. She got over it when the kids started running around outside--she thought that looked like fun. She showed her teacher her new lunchbox and they seems so nice. Miss Claudia and Miss Julie. She immediately went to play with some of her new classmates and I had to call her back over to give me a kiss. Obviously she is the only one that has never been left besides to go to Sunday school. Never more than an hour. I barely made it out of the class room before I could feel tears stinging....by the time I made it to the parking lot I was full on crying. I know these other moms think I am a complete baby. I had to put on my huge bug sunglasses to ensure that no one could see how stupid I look. Did I mention that I didn't know that Chelsea had bought me non-waterproof mascara and eyeliner. I look like a monster. Cried all the way to work thinking what if she has to go potty and doesn't tell them? what if it embarrasses her that they have to take her to potty? What if she doesn't eat her lunch? What if she cries for me after a couple hours? I forgot her sunscreen this morning--what if she gets a sunburn? What if she doesn't like it? What if she has a "mean girl" in her class--I saw one with potential outside while we were waiting? What if she doesn't share? What if she is the "mean girl"? OH------I have to stop.
Anyway, I am sure she will be fine and not even want me to pick her up today--which will make me cry again.
