growing up

I couldn't decide if I wanted to grow Arden's hair out for the longest time and now that she had pigtails I have to say that I love it!! She is just getting so big. I bought her some new clothes at the good ol' walmart and I even bought her a 5t in some of the shirts. She looks so cute in her little skirt today. I just want to squeeze her and kiss that little face. I am going to get to go and see baby Blayne Harbin tonight so that is pretty exciting. Nicole had Baby Sophie today (9lb. 1oz at 12 days early). I also found my missing maternity clothes and have on some borrowed ones that still had tags on them this morning. Good Day!!!

18 weeks with the boy


I am working on my bump. I wish i could say that I was filling it with green leafy veggies but alas....they don't seem too appealing. Not as much as whoppper Jr. that I had for lunch. I am starting to get the belly. I know it will be full blown soon. I was showing by 21 weeks with Arden and I am 18 now. i know it is coming. I did feel baby boy kicking yesterday. It isn't that strong yet but while i was trying t listen with the belly beats monitor he kept kicking at it. Cute. I am ready to wear my maternity clothes now--even though i don't have them on today or in the pic above (I did buy a size bigger though).I am ready for belly I think. I feel like it's time for it. I will be complaining later in the summer when i am roasting and feel like a whale but for now it's spring and a bun in the oven sounds sweet.

Arden and I walked to breakfast (with the stroller) saturday morning. I about died on the uphill way home from Aretha's. I wore jeans but luckily had on a tank so i could get some sun. Then we aired up the tires and changed an accident and walked to rivermont park. I was ready to drive in all the heat---esp since it was uphill again on the way home but Arden cried for the stroller. So, off we went. We stayed for about an hour and then home again to change clothes. I was soaked. We went on the boat with dad and pawpaw and caught a couple fish and then to mexican for dinner. I split with Matt and actually made it out of there with no heartburn. That was a miracle. We got home about 7:30 or 8 and my no-nap 2 year old and I passed out for the whole night. I was a dead woman. That was just it for me. We got plenty of sleep but were still 10min. late to church sunday. It was a busy weekend.

over-due post

We went to the zoo this past weekend and had a blast. We saw our friends from church there and it made it even more exciting. Me,Arden, and Grammy also went to the park and played in the fountain and rode the carosel and ate ice cream. It was a great day. I am hoping to get out of town for this weekend or just have a little fun. I don't know i have the itch to go somewhere. We'll see.....

I don't have too many pictures because I know it will surprise everyone to know I was running late for church and could only snap a few. My cousin, Julie (Poolie), who was in town this weekend got some awesome ones. Our girl hunted eggs and had so much fun playing with Blair Rose. She played at the park in Mimi's subdivision and she is still talking about it. Also, Chelsea came in and me,her,Arden and Julie went shopping from 10am-6:30pm on Saturday with Arden in tow. She did not complain and rode in the rented mall stroller (which was really cool because it looked like a pink car) for hours. I was pretty impressed with her. I couldn't believe that she would go that long with no nap and no melt-down. She did the same thing Sunday and then did around with me and Julie yesterday (I took a 1/2 day) with only a 15-30min nap in my lap in cafe. It was so fun just hanging out and walking around. We even went to Julie's gramma's house and explored the backyard where they have a cabin and stuff. It was fun! Thanks to Mimi for helping me with Arden's dress. It was quite the endeavor to sew her dress----especially with her asking every 10 min if I was finished yet. I will add some new pictures soon.

Surprise Everybody!!

I am pregnant with a little boy! I am due September 28th and we are so thrilled. I just told my parents last night and we are 15 weeks. I guess we just thought we would wait with this baby and then I had friends that I love that have lost babies since I became pregnant. We just couldn't decide when to tell. We didn't know when Chelsea would be in town so we decided on Cassie's birthday--thought she would love that. I felt super bad in my first trimester and still don't know how I kept it from mom seeing her everyday. I think I just told myself if I could act normal at work then I could complain at home. I felt pretty nauseous 24/7. I hated Coffee--even the smell--now isn't that irony! I felt fatigued all the time but still never went to bed early. Matt will tell you that I sent him on runs for ginger ale all the time. I remembered Mom telling me that chewing gum helped her with Chelsea and so that really worked. I chewed gum as soon as I woke up in the morning. I wanted to eat the weirdest things--big bowl full of guacamole. I had to stick to mainly toast and cereal and fat free hotdogs. Those really got me through. I am glad I spared everyone the complaining nasty part and skipped to the good exciting part. Now I feel 110%. I am able to excercise and feel good all the time. No belly yet but it will come soon. Jeans are getting snug.
We told Arden last night too. She has been saying the silliest things. She said last night, when I asked if brother could sleep in her room, that "he could sleep in her closet or maybe on the couch". She also said--"where is brother-is he at school" I told her that he was in my belly. To that she said "where? what is he doing? is he in your belly button? is he in your boobies? " I tell her my belly but then she is going around work saying that she has a baby girlie in her belly. We will just see I know she is going to be full of fun stories.
Sorry we have kept the secret so long. We are happy to have the news out. Now for pics.....
