I came home from class and eating dinner with Grammy to find these two in the kitchen. Arden was so excited for me to see that she was cooking with Daddy. When I asked what they were making she said "pancakes." They were really using Matt's funnel cake mix from his bday. They turned out pretty good. Only bad things was Matt got popped so many times trying to make them. Aren't they too cute?

yard work
Last weekend we worked in the yard. We worked back yard on Saturday and the front on Sunday. We did get a few things done. We did mostly clean up and planning in back but got more in the front done. I took Arden to the barn nursery and let her pick her own flowers. It was really fun. My favorite were these peek a boo daisies. You can see them in the pic. They were so cute and made me think of Cassie. Arden had the best time but has had a little allergy trouble this week. She kept saying "mom, we are having the best day". All she was doing was shoveling with her Dora shovel in the leaf and mulch piles. It's amazing how content kids can be.

need some a/c
So, the a/c has been out at the shop and Arden couldn't take it yesterday. She did 2 little trickle pee pees on her underwear, not even enough to get the pants wet. I don't really know what is going on because she has not done that in a month or more. She did it two times and I finally had to wash out undies and dry them with a hair dryer. She got to wear her princess dress that Uncle Larry gave her and then she got sick of that too and went down to just panties. I can't say that I blame her--just not to appropriate or attractive for a 29yr. old. She even left out the door with her daddy (so i could go to gym) in just undies and shoes and dora back pack. She said she was running away from here. Hehe! So, i got to run to the gym for an hour and then grab some Chinese with Grammy on the way home. It was so nice--thanks to my wonderful hubby. We are also going to Red Robin--YUM!--tonight after work. Life is good.

ponytail girl
Arden wore a ponytail for the first time today. It just makes me what to squeeze her. She looks so big--like a kindergartener. Plus, seeing her bounce around with it all day is just too cute. She keeps saying she is "big girlie". She has been especially wild at the shop lately. I can see that I made the right decision about pre-school. She has been running around loose after about 3pm everyday. She can just not be contained now that the sun is out and spring is in the air. She is such a sweetie pie.

awesome weather
Last night after work Arden and I hurried home so that we had time to play outside. It has typically been dark by the time we can get home and get dinner. We walked for quite a bit for exercise for daddy and me and then we took Arden to the playground. It was so nice none of us wanted to go home. I just wanted to go sit on the deck and have coffee (even though too hot) or maybe tea. It was so nice to think that this is what we have to look forward too. As long as it doesn't get too hot too fast. I don't like dog days of summer at all.

all signed up

So, I signed Arden up today for pre-school. She is even going to do the summer program too. She is going to Rivermont Pres. Church right by our house. Alex's(Chelsea's boyfriend) is a teacher there and she is always telling us good things. I have checked around every where and I just liked it best. It is the most convenient and times work out the best for us. I can drop her right on the way to work. I think she is ready. She is so good for me at the shop but it has got to be boring sometimes. She just never complains but I still feel mommma guilt about it. I want her to be able to play outside and stuff in the summer. I think it will help her get ready for school. She likes other kids but is mainly around adults so I think that will be good too. She is actually pretty excited. She got to dig while we were there the other day and she keeps asking if she can go back and dig. They have a playground and in the summer they do water days and the nature center comes to school. She will learn alot. I have been giving myself the pep-talk so I can be excited about her going instead of feel sad. I do feel like I don't want anyone else influencing my baby. But you know, they have to learn how to be in the world but not "of the world". So, she is set to go. It makes me think of this song that about makes me cry. The lyrics go:
"I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams,
and that faith gives you the power to dare to do great things.
I'm here for you whatever this life brings.
So let my love give you roots, to help you find your wings"
So sweet huh? okay so don't get too emotional. Here is pic of her ---it is scan so it's not that good.

sneak peek @ bikini season
Arden got her first bathing suit today from Target. I couldn't resist because it was only $12 and it was so cute! You should have seen her model. She was dancing around like she ruled the world. Don't you wish you had the confidence in a bathing suit that a 2 yr. old has. She just sexy dances with her belly sticking out thinking she is the most beautiful thing int he world. She cried when I made her take it off and now has it back on. She is wearing it to watch wonder pets. I love kids!!!
