So I might be taking Arden to the doc later today. We will just see. I am going to tell this even though it makes me sound like a bad momma. Saturday we were playing on my bed (which is pretty tall) and I was watching the Scorpion King. She was watching too but sliding on my legs. I told her 3-4 times to be careful that she did not get to close to the edge. Well, it was just too tempting and she slid off the end of my legs and fast first into the hardwood floor. I jerked her up in about .5seconds and hugged and kissed. She didn't cry long. She seemed fine and reassured me that she was okay. Well, then last night she was sleeping on the couch. Yes, we let our child sleep on the couch. It is closer than going up the stairs to her room when she wakes up and I am happy to have her closer. If she falls asleep there then she can stay there. Same rule applies for me and Matt and no one seems to have a problem with that. We all like to sleep on the couch occasionally. We don't take it as a punishment. So she was sleeping on couch and about 2am I hear her fall. I swear Matt never rolled over even though I jumped out of bed like someone shot me and ran to the living room. She was crying and I felt so bad that I brought her to our bed. She didn't fall far so i wasn't worried. Well this morning she is crying alot and saying different things hurt. mainly she says that her neck hurts--by her colarbone. I have looked down her throat with flashlight to make sure she wasn't confused about it being a sore throat. She has been over all cry baby but no fever. Well, now I have noticed the pattern. She cries when I pick her up--under the arms. But then when I ask where it hurts she points to her neck/colarbone. I wonder if it's bruised or if she is sore under the arms from me jerking her up so quick. i probably gave the poor kid whiplash. I am going to wait about half day and if she is still complaining I will take her in for xray just to make sure. She has cried about 7 times this morning. 6 times when diff. people picked her up --to put her on couch, in car seat, etc. The only other time was when she had to lift her arms and i pulled her shirt off from last night. She cried bad about that. So, I guess I will just wait. Poor baby! Her momma has let her get all banged up.

poor arden but poor christy too! do not beat yourself up! you know how kids are wild-- or just simply going to roll out of the bed and whatnot--you can only do so much for them. i think you are a great mom. i hope she feels better soon!
remind me later to tell you a story....
Poor Arden. I hope everything's fine. Bella's had some pretty rough tumbles too that I cant believe didn't result in a broken bone. They are tough little cookies. Thx for the compliment. I still have a ways to go, but so far so good if I could jst get to the gym on a regular basis. Let us know what happens!
She will be okay. Her shoulder could be dislocated...which sounds horrible and hurts like no ohter...but it can be popped back in. Kris was playing with Kamryn last year and was swinging her by the arms and popped her elbow out of joint...she was in a cast for a week...he felt horrible. It happens girl...it may just be bruised and no big deal. I'll be thinking about you guys.
First & foremost...she IS her mother's daughter. Who else do we know that slept on their parents couch for most of their high school life when they had a rather comfy bed upstairs.
Don't beat yourself up - kids are so accident prone b/c well they don't know any different. She's probably bruised and sore...plus it gets a little extra attention, ok maybe just my child does that???
